Which courses are eligible for transfer credit?
QCT considers official, verifiable coursework from accredited colleges and universities or verifiable Christian institutions, including Bible colleges and seminaries. Courses must match the academic content, objectives, and requirements of your QCT degree.
What academic requirements apply?
- You must be in good academic standing and eligible to return to your previous institution, with no academic dismissal or unresolved academic hold.
- Coursework must be at the same academic level as the degree receiving the credit.
- Undergraduate coursework requires a grade of C or higher.
- Graduate coursework requires a grade of B or higher.
- Pass/fail coursework may qualify when a passing result is documented and the issuing institution awarded academic credit.
- Credits have no fixed expiration period. Age alone does not make coursework ineligible.
- Dissertation credits do not transfer. Transfer consideration is limited to coursework.
Meeting these requirements allows consideration; it does not guarantee approval.
Can secular courses transfer?
A secular course may qualify if QCT offers a corresponding course at the same academic level with closely comparable content and objectives. For example, a counseling course may be eligible if it matches a counseling course in your QCT degree program.
Unrelated secular coursework cannot replace theological or ministry-focused courses.
What about general education courses?
General education coursework may satisfy undergraduate general education requirements when QCT offers the same or a comparable course. These credits count toward your program’s overall transfer limit.
Can international coursework transfer?
International coursework must first be evaluated by World Education Services (WES) or the Association of Christian Education. QCT then determines whether it meets the College’s academic requirements and program limits. An outside evaluation does not guarantee approval.
How does QCT determine equivalency?
The Registrar or an administrator reviews your academic record and compares coursework with QCT requirements. You should provide course descriptions, syllabi, or documented objectives when needed to establish equivalency.
