What happens to my financial aid if I leave?

Institutional financial aid remains applied through the final month of your last semester. You must pay the tuition and fees remaining after that aid is applied.

Does leaving reverse my final semester’s aid?

Withdrawal or dismissal does not, by itself, reverse aid applied to your final semester, including its final month.

For example, if you request withdrawal in July and the semester ends August 21, aid remains applied to your monthly tuition and monthly fees through August. You still owe any required August amounts after aid, even if the payment is due after August 21.

Can I receive the same aid if I return?

No. After withdrawal or dismissal takes effect, your financial aid package ends. Institutional aid under this policy is available only to eligible new students. Returning students are not considered new students and cannot receive or reinstate that aid.

Previous aid awards cannot be transferred or used as credit toward future enrollment. Previous payment-plan terms will not be reinstated.

What happens to payments I already made?

Those payments stay applied to your previous charges. They are nonrefundable and cannot be reused as payment or credit toward a new enrollment.

What if I take an approved leave of absence?

An approved leave of absence is not a complete withdrawal. You retain your financial aid package and remain responsible for your financial obligations.
