What happened to the tuition-free program?
Understanding the transition from tuition-free programs to our new tuition adjustment model
Queens College of Theology previously offered a tuition-free program in which students could earn the following degrees by paying only a minimal fee:
-
Master of Ministry
-
Master of Arts in Christian Counseling
-
PhD in Biblical Studies
At this time, Queens College of Theology no longer offers tuition-free degree programs.
What Has Replaced the Tuition-Free Program?
We have transitioned to a Tuition Adjustment Program. This new structure provides:
-
Institutional grants
-
Financial aid opportunities
-
Structured pathways designed to help students complete their degrees debt-free
While our programs will not be offered at the extremely reduced cost of the former tuition-free model, there are still substantial financial aid options available.
Students who were previously interested in the former tuition-free degree tracks are encouraged to apply and speak directly with an academic advisor about available grants and financial aid opportunities.
What About Students Already Enrolled in the Tuition-Free Program?
All students who were officially enrolled in the former tuition-free program are being fully honored.
To support program completion, these students have been transferred to CredoClass.org, an online theological learning platform.
Important Clarifications
-
Students transferred to CredoClass are still students of Queens College of Theology.
-
They will still earn their degree from Queens College of Theology.
-
The only change is the website (URL) where coursework is completed.
CredoClass does not guarantee degree conferment to new students enrolling directly on that platform. However, students transferred from the former tuition-free program will complete their degree requirements and graduate from Queens College of Theology.
Requirements for Legacy Tuition-Free Students on CredoClass
Students completing their programs on CredoClass must continue to follow Queens College of Theology institutional policies, including but not limited to:
-
Program Timelines
-
Master’s programs must be completed within one year (programs lock after one year).
-
-
Weekly Engagement
-
Students must log in for at least four hours per week.
-
Students must actively complete required steps within each learning module.
-
-
Graduation Fees
-
Applicable graduation fees must still be paid prior to degree conferral.
-
Be sure to check your program policies, or you can ask your advisor for a copy of them.
What Happens After All Legacy Students Graduate?
Once all remaining tuition-free students have completed their degrees:
-
CredoClass will continue offering online theological and ministry courses.
-
CredoClass will not guarantee degrees.
-
Courses completed through CredoClass may be evaluated for potential transfer credit into a Queens College of Theology degree program through an academic evaluation process.
