Transfer Credit Policy and Fees

At Queens College of Theology, we recognize the value of prior academic work and offer students the opportunity to transfer eligible credits from previously attended institutions. As a private, specialized institution focused on training individuals for religious vocations, our transfer credit process is designed to ensure both academic integrity and alignment with our programs.

Per Credit Transfer Fee

Queens College of Theology charges a transfer credit fee of $60 per credit hour for all approved transfer credits.

This fee reflects:

  • The detailed academic evaluation required to assess prior coursework
  • The alignment of previous studies with our theological curriculum
  • Our institutional model as a private college that does not participate in Title IV federal funding programs

Because we do not receive federal financial aid funding, students are responsible for covering the full cost of their educational programs, including any applicable transfer credit fees.

Transparent Evaluation Process

We are committed to transparency and helping students make informed financial decisions.

Before any transfer credits are officially applied to your academic record:

  • Your transcripts will be evaluated by our academic team
  • You will receive a formal quote outlining:
    • The number of credits eligible for transfer
    • The total cost based on the $60 per credit hour fee

This ensures you have a clear understanding of:

  • The academic value of your transfer credits
  • The total cost involved

Your Choice, Your Decision

After receiving your evaluation and cost estimate, you are under no obligation to proceed. You may choose whether transferring your credits is the best option for your academic and financial goals.

Transfer credits will only be applied after:

  • You review the quote
  • You confirm your decision to proceed

Summary

  • $60 per credit hour transfer fee
  • Applies only to approved transfer credits
  • No Title IV funding — students cover full program costs
  • Upfront quote provided before any charges are applied
  • Student approval required before credits are transferred
