How much do transfer credits cost, and when do I pay?
Each approved transfer credit is charged at QCT’s current posted tuition rate per credit hour. QCT discloses the applicable rate and maximum potential charge before you submit your evaluation request. The rate disclosed for that request is used to calculate your invoice.
Does requesting an evaluation commit me to payment?
Yes. Submitting the request authorizes the evaluation and creates a commitment to pay for all approved transfer credits, up to your program’s limit.
The evaluation is not an optional quote. You cannot select a smaller number of approved credits to reduce the charge.
How is the amount calculated?
Approved transfer credits × disclosed per-credit rate = transfer-credit charge.
For example, if the disclosed rate were $60 per credit and QCT approved 9 credits, the charge would be $540. This illustrates the calculation; the rate disclosed for your request controls your invoice.
QCT generates and delivers the invoice with the completed evaluation. It identifies the approved credits and total amount due.
When must I pay?
You must pay in full before beginning studies at QCT. Credits will not be posted until full payment is received and posting is approved by the Registrar or an administrator.
For the limited exception allowing evaluation of credits conferred after QCT enrollment, the invoice must be paid in full by its stated due date and before credits are posted.
Can I use a payment plan, financial aid, or a discount?
No. Transfer-credit charges must be paid at the full applicable rate. Payment plans and discretionary adjustments are not available. Institutional financial aid and award-based discounts do not cover these charges.
What if I pay but decide not to enroll?
Declining your cost of attendance estimate, not beginning studies, or deciding not to enroll does not, by itself, create a right to a refund or cancel charges incurred through an authorized evaluation.
Transfer charges remain subject to nonrefund and financial-obligation provisions disclosed in the student handbook, including its limited exceptions. Paying transfer charges does not replace the remaining enrollment requirements, including accepting the cost of attendance estimate and completing required paperwork.
