Graduation Request Process & Timeline Guide
Understanding the graduation process helps set clear expectations for when you’ll receive your diploma. Below is a step-by-step breakdown of what happens after you submit your graduation request, along with realistic timelines based on each academic term.
Step 1: Submit Your Graduation Request
- Complete the graduation request form if you believe you have met all degree requirements. You can check your degree audit under your student tab in the portal to confirm this information. The graduation request form is located in your student portal.
- Pay the $250 graduation fee. This is non refundable. In the event you request graduation and you are ineligible, you must repay this term when you become eligible to graduate.
Step 2: Registrar Review (5 Weeks After Term Ends)
After the semester in which you submitted your request ends, the Registrar begins a formal review process:
- This review starts approximately 5 weeks after the end of the term.
- The delay allows time for:
- Professors to submit all final grades
- Any academic adjustments or standing updates to be finalized
- During this review, the Registrar verifies:
- All academic requirements are complete
- No outstanding financial obligations remain
Step 3: eDiploma Issued
- An eDiploma is sent to your student email on file.
- You must accept the eDiploma before moving forward.
Step 4: Printed Diploma Delivery (Approx. 15 Business Days)
- Once your eDiploma is accepted:
- Your printed diploma is processed and mailed by our credential authority Parchment.
- Delivery takes approximately 15 business days.
- Only students who reside in the lower 48 are eligible for printed diploma. Students who are international and request a printed diploma must pay excessive international shipping and handling fees. International students should coordinate the invoice with a program administrator by calling our office or messaging the office on WhatsApp.
- Any loss or damages to the diploma during shipment is the responsibility of Parchment. Students should contact Parchment directly to have this resolved.
