What doctrines are taught in each class?
Understand the biblical and theological convictions that guide QCT’s teaching, leadership, and community of faith.
Overview
At Queens College of Theology (QCT), our doctrinal foundation ensures that every course, policy, and conversation reflects a faithful interpretation of Scripture.
All faculty and administrators personally adhere to and support the institution’s doctrinal positions, which define what is believed and taught in our classrooms.
While we uphold clear theological convictions, we also welcome students from various denominations and traditions, recognizing that the body of Christ is broader than any one theological perspective.
Our Doctrinal Commitment
Queens College of Theology stands firmly upon the authority of the Word of God.
Our community of scholars and ministers affirms the following core doctrines:
-
The Inspiration and Authority of Scripture:
The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and serves as the ultimate authority for faith, doctrine, and life. -
The Trinity:
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally existing in three persons, equal in power and glory. -
The Full Deity and Humanity of Christ:
Jesus Christ is fully divine and fully human, born of the Virgin Mary, crucified for our sins, and raised bodily from the dead. -
The Creation of Humanity:
Humanity was created in the image of God, designed for relationship with Him, and endowed with dignity, purpose, and responsibility. -
The Spiritual Lostness of the Human Race:
Because of sin, all humanity stands in need of redemption and reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ. -
The Substitutionary Atonement and Bodily Resurrection of Christ:
Salvation is made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus, who bore the penalty for sin and triumphed over death. -
Salvation by Grace Through Faith Alone:
Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received through personal faith in Jesus Christ—not by human works or merit. -
The Physical Return of Christ:
We anticipate the visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to establish His eternal Kingdom and judge the living and the dead.
Faculty and Administrative Standards
Every member of QCT’s faculty and leadership is expected to:
-
Affirm these doctrinal positions in belief and practice.
-
Teach in accordance with Scripture and uphold biblical integrity in all academic instruction.
-
Demonstrate personal character and conduct consistent with Christian faith.
Faculty represent both pastoral and academic excellence—each holding ordained ministry credentials and/or advanced academic degrees in their field of expertise.
This standard ensures that QCT’s instruction remains biblically faithful, academically credible, and spiritually transformative.
Unity Amid Diversity
While our doctrinal statement provides theological clarity, QCT does not claim to represent the entirety of the Christian Church.
We joyfully welcome students from differing denominational backgrounds and traditions, provided they share a respect for Scripture and a desire for faithful theological study.
Our goal is not uniformity of opinion, but unity in Christ-centered purpose—equipping believers to think critically, engage graciously, and minister effectively across the diverse body of Christ.
Why It Matters
The doctrinal qualifications of Queens College of Theology are more than institutional statements—they are the foundation of our educational mission.
They ensure that:
-
Our teaching remains grounded in Scripture.
-
Our leadership models spiritual maturity.
-
Our community grows in faith, understanding, and integrity.
At QCT, doctrine is not merely studied—it is lived out in scholarship, worship, and service.
