Can I request a review of my transfer-credit decision?
You may request reconsideration by providing course information showing that your prior course’s learning outcomes closely resemble those of the corresponding QCT course. Disagreement alone is not a basis for review.
Who makes the decision?
The Registrar or any member of College administration may make the final academic transfer-credit decision.
What information should I provide?
Supporting information may include:
- An official course description.
- The course syllabus.
- Documented course objectives or learning outcomes.
Identify the prior course and the corresponding QCT course, and explain how the supporting information demonstrates comparable learning outcomes.
Can reconsideration waive another transfer requirement?
No. Reconsideration does not waive minimum grades, academic-level requirements, program transfer limits, the exclusion of dissertation credits, or financial requirements.
Approval depends on evidence that the coursework meets QCT’s requirements. Requesting reconsideration does not guarantee that the original decision will change.
