Can I receive a refund or account credit?
Under the College’s general policy, tuition and fees are nonrefundable once paid or assessed. Limited corrections may apply to billing errors or services the College did not provide.
No. The refund percentage is 0% before the term begins after charges are paid or assessed, on or after the first day, after receiving access or services, and after partial completion, nonparticipation, withdrawal, leave, suspension, or dismissal.
Registration add/drop dates do not create refund eligibility.
The no-refund policy covers tuition, payment-plan charges, registration, technology, program activation, transfer credit, graduation, dissertation, processing, late fees, and other institutional charges.
What if I never attend or my circumstances change? The general no-refund rule still applies if you never log in or use services, leave the College, change programs or course load, take leave, or are suspended or dismissed. It also applies to personal circumstances such as illness, disability, bereavement, job changes, or financial hardship; loss of financial assistance; dissatisfaction with the program; or disagreement with a grade or College decision.
An approved academic or disability accommodation does not create a right to a financial refund. See the Student Handbook for the complete list of circumstances covered.
Are there limited exceptions?A refund, reversal, or credit may be issued when:
- The College confirms a duplicate payment, unauthorized charge, clerical error, or payment applied to the wrong account.
- The Chancellor authorizes a correction because the College materially failed to provide the specific educational or administrative service for which you were charged.
These are not hardship exceptions. Unless law or contract requires a cash refund, the College may provide an account credit or comparable replacement service instead.
How do account credits work?A discretionary account credit is not cash. It may be restricted to a specific term, program, course, or service; expire by a stated deadline; and be reduced by amounts already earned, used, or owed. It cannot be transferred, sold, or assigned. Your written credit authorization controls its amount, use, and expiration.
Does “no refund” mean monthly charges continue after I leave? No. The withdrawal rules end future monthly tuition and monthly fees after your final semester. Canceling those unpaid future charges does not refund amounts already paid or cancel annual-fee balances.
